I’ve just returned from a road trip with the in-laws across U.K from Edinburgh – Aviemore – Keith – Aberlour – Inverness – Eilean Donan Castle – Loch Ness – Fort Augustus – Fort William – Glenfinnan – Glencoe – Loch Lomond – Loch Long – Lake District (Ambleside) – Stirling Castle – Glasgow – Birmingham – Bath – Stonehenge – to London.
7 of us in two cars travelled for about 1600km+ in 17 days.
Never did I travelled on the road for such a long consecutive days before in a group. I took sometime to adjust myself from being a couple traveller to a family traveller. Great experience as everyone in the family is busy with their own respective schedules but now took the time to discover new experiences together.
This trip was a successful one mainly because of the early and hard- work planning of my sisters in law and also blessings of great weather. Kudos to all family members.
Our first stop was Edinburgh, Scotland. Looking forward to write about it in the next post.
Tips for road-trip: Besides GPS and internet, Walkie-Talkie is a must because it is much more convenient that phone calls.
